John M. Toomey

John M. Toomey Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HarbourVest Partners and has served in that capacity since October 1, 2024. He is based at the Firm’s headquarters in Boston.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, John served on the Executive Management Committee (EMC), which led the firm, since 2012. He joined the firm in 1997 as an Analyst in the Direct team and spent ten years as one of the leaders of the Secondary business before serving on Global Investment Committees for nearly a decade. He was also involved in the 2007 IPO of HarbourVest Global Private Equity on Euronext Amsterdam for which he served as the original Chief Financial Officer.

John is a member of the Firm’s Portfolio Construction Committee, Conflicts Committee, Sustainable Investing Council and DEI Council.

He received a BA (cum laude) in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard University in 1995 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001, where he was awarded the Loeb Fellowship for outstanding achievement in finance.

David A. Breach

David A. Breach is Vista’s President and Chief Operating Officer. He currently sits on Vista’s Executive Committee, the firm’s governing and decision-making body for matters affecting its overall management and strategic direction as well as the firm’s Private Equity Management and Vista’s Private Equity Funds’ Investment Committees. Mr. Breach is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of VistaOne, Vista’s evergreen private equity vehicle, and serves on the Investment Committee and Board of Directors. He also sits on the boards of Vista portfolio companies Jamf (NASDAQ: JAMF), Solera and Stats Perform.

Tricia Winton

Tricia Winton joined Bain Capital in 2020. She is a Partner and Head of ESG for the firm. Tricia has over 25 years of experience building effective and successful businesses, focusing on value creation, organization performance, and responsible operations.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, she worked at ArcLight Capital Partners for 12 years where she led ESG, Strategy, and Human Capital.  Previously, she advised public sector, private sector, and non-profits at McKinsey & Company and led client relationship management at Cambridge Associates.

Tricia earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and a BA from Dartmouth College.  

Amyn Hassanally

Amyn is the Global Head of Private Equity Secondaries at Pantheon. In his role, Amyn also serves as a voting member of Pantheon’s Secondaries Investment Committee as well as its International Investment Committee.  Prior to joining Pantheon, Amyn was an Investment Partner and formerly the global Co-Head of Investment Execution at Coller Capital, where he worked for almost 17 years in both London and New York. Prior to joining Coller, he practiced corporate law, focusing on private equity transactions and fund structuring. Amyn holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Brandeis University and a JD from the Duke University School of Law.

Jamie Toothman

Prior to General Atlantic, Preston was a two-time CEO in the Vista Equity Partner portfolio (MicroEdge, Newscycle Solutions), and was a sales leader and divisional GM for what is now Thomson Reuters.

Courtney Hagen

Courtney Hagen is a Managing Director and the Chief Talent Officer at Littlejohn, a private equity firm focused on middle market investments, where she works with deal teams and portfolio company leadership to ensure that the talent strategies of each portfolio company support the investment thesis and value creation plan. Previously, she was SVP of Human Resources for LVMH, working across brands and functions to create and execute strategic HR programs to support talent needs for LVMH and its portfolio of brands in North America. Before LVMH, Courtney led global executive talent acquisition for PepsiCo. Courtney joined PepsiCo from a career in executive search and management consulting, most recently with Russell Reynolds Associates. She started her career with management consulting firm Bridge Strategy Group/Renaissance Worldwide, where she led strategy consulting engagements for Fortune 1000 companies in the US, Europe and South Africa. Courtney holds a B.A. from Wellesley College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. 

Albert Notini

Albert Notini is a Managing Director and Lead of the Operating Partner Group at New Mountain Capital. From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Notini was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New Mountain portfolio company Apptis, a provider of communications and information technology services to the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies. Under his leadership, Apptis increased its revenue to over $1 billion and established a leadership position in cyber security and cloud computing before being purchased by a strategic buyer.

From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Notini was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonus Networks, Inc. (NASD: SONS), the leading provider of IP-voice infrastructure equipment to telecommunication companies. Under his leadership, Sonus expanded globally, diversified its product lines and created over $1 billion in market value. Prior to joining Sonus, Mr. Notini was the Chief Financial Officer of Manufacturers’ Services Ltd. (“MSL”) from 2000 to 2004, a NYSE-listed electronics manufacturing services and supply chain company. At MSL Mr. Notini led the financial and operational turnaround that resulted in a successful exit merger with a global strategic buyer.

Mr. Notini began his career in 1984 at the law firm Hale and Dorr, LLP (now WilmerHale, LLP) where he was elected a Senior Partner, focusing on financing, business transformation and mergers & acquisitions. Mr. Notini served as Law Clerk to the Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court after receiving his J.D. from Boston College Law School where he served as Editor in Chief of the Law Review. He received his A.B. from Boston College, summa cum laude, and earned a master’s degree from Boston University. He has served on numerous NMC boards and is currently a director of Sonrava Health, ABB Optical, Datavant Group, MAG Aerospace, Emids, and Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC.

Karina Sobieski

Wilfred Small

Wilfred Small is a Senior Managing Director and member of the Ardian Secondary Fund (“ASF”) Management Committee. Prior to that, he worked as an associate at Lehman Brothers Venture Partners (now Tenaya Capital), where he was responsible for executing and evaluating mid-through late-stage equity investments across a wide range of industries. Leahy has also worked with leading NGOs including Environmental Defense Fund and in government posts at the Environmental Protection Agency and on Capitol Hill. Jeffrey Keay

Jeff Keay joined HarbourVest in 1999 and focuses on global secondary investments across a range of transaction types. Jeff is based in Boston and also worked in the Firm’s London office. Jeff is the Chair of the Firm’s Secondary Investment Committee and he currently serves on a number of advisory boards.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jeff spent three years at Ernst & Young LLP, where he specialized in the venture capital and financial services industries. His previous experience also includes working at the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

Jason Mehring

Jason Mehring is a Managing Director at BlackRock. He is a voting member and a past Chairman of the investment committee for BlackRock's US Private Capital Group ("USPC"), and serves as President of BlackRock TCP Capital Corporation, BlackRock Private Credit Fund, and BlackRock Direct Lending Corporation.

Mr. Mehring focuses on the team's origination, underwriting and monitoring of middle market private investments, including those made on behalf of the Middle Market Senior Fund ("MMSF"), where he is the lead Portfolio Manager, and other public and private investment funds. These investment vehicles offer middle-market companies flexible financing solutions to meet their current and future capital needs.

Jason has over 30 years' experience in middle market investing including his 18 years' experience with the USPC team, joining as a Managing Director at BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation's former advisor in 2005. Mr. Mehring previously spent more than ten years at Banc of America Capital Investors (BACI), an affiliate of Bank of America, Inc., in Chicago, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, becoming a Principal of the firm in 2000. At BACI, Mr. Mehring focused on mezzanine and private equity investing in middle market companies. Prior to joining BACI in 1994, he worked at Firstar Bank, a predecessor to U.S. Bank.

Kim has over 25 years of experience working in financial services and sustainability. Before joining H.I.G., Kim was a Managing Director and Head of Strategy and Impact at NY Green Bank, where her role included measurement, management, and communication of the firm’s environmental and social impact. Prior to NY Green Bank, Kim was a portfolio manager of RREEF Retrofit Partners, a sustainable real estate fund at Deutsche Asset Management, and was a partner at Mitchell Madison Group, a global management consultancy.

Raj Rupani

Dianna Carr-Coletta is a Managing Director and Partner within PGIM Private Capital's Alternatives Direct Lending Group.  Prior to this role, she was a Managing Director leading our Corporate and Project Workout team and oversaw the management and restructuring of non-performing investments. Previously, Mrs. Carr-Coletta was a Senior Vice President in PGIM Private Capital's Chicago Corporate Finance group. In this role, she led a team responsible for marketing, originating and managing private placement, mezzanine and structured equity investments in Michigan and Wisconsin, with prior geographies that also included Southern Ohio and Kentucky.  

Mrs. Carr-Coletta received a BA from Michigan State University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Tom Newberry

Mr. Newberry joined Sound Point in 2021 and is currently Chief Credit Officer and Executive Chairman for the Direct Lending group. Additionally, Mr. Newberry serves on the firm’s Management Committee and is a member on most risk, investment and valuation committees at the firm. Prior to joining Sound Point, Mr. Newberry was a Partner,  Global Head of Private Debt and a Senior Portfolio Manager at CVC Credit Partners. Prior to CVC, Mr. Newberry spent 11 years at Credit Suisse, where he was a Managing Director and Head of Global Leveraged Finance Capital Markets and Syndicated Loans. In this capacity, he was responsible for the underwriting of all high yield bond, mezzanine and syndicated loan transactions, as well as the sale and trading of both par and distressed loan assets.

Mr. Newberry joined Credit Suisse in November 2000 when Credit Suisse First Boston merged with DLJ, where he was a Managing Director and head of US Loan Capital Markets. He joined DLJ in 1996 from Deutsche Bank where he was a Managing Director and Head of North American Loan Syndications. Prior to that, Mr. Newberry worked at Toronto-Dominion Securities and NCNB National Bank. He served on the board of directors of the Loan Syndication & Trading Association for six years, acting as both Chairman and Vice Chairman.

Mr. Newberry earned a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.

Laura Warren

Laura is the Global Head of Tax and Structuring, leading the team responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the firm's tax strategy for both the organization and its clients. Her role encompasses creating optimized investment structures for products, client vehicles and investments to address client tax sensitivities, tax reporting and regulatory requirements. Laura also heads up tax compliance across fund products, the management company and our public company.

Prior to joining Hamilton Lane, Laura worked at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia, where she was responsible for structuring and tax counseling for private equity funds and their investors, as well as private equity general partners and management companies.

Laura received an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law, a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law with Tax Honors.

Rony Ma

Rony Ma (New York) joined KKR in 2011 and is a Managing Director on the Credit & Markets team. He serves as a portfolio manager for the firm’s private credit funds and portfolios. Mr. Ma is a member of KKR’s Capital Committee, Global Corporate Private Credit Investment Committee, and the Investment Committee for the FS/KKR BDC platform. Mr. Ma also serves as an Officer of FS KKR Capital Corp. (FSK), which trades on the NYSE. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Ma was with Deutsche Bank where he was involved in leveraged loan and high yield transactions for private equity and corporate issuers. Mr. Ma holds a B.S. and B.A.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sumana Setty

Sumana Setty is a Managing Director at Blue Owl Capital, where she serves as the chief legal adviser for Blue Owl’s GP strategic capital platform overseeing all legal and governance regulatory matters, as well as advising on strategic initiatives. Paul Zuber

Paul Zuber is an Operating Partner, North American Lead at HG Capital. Prior to HG, Paul was an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo, where he Chaired companies across multiple funds and also founded and led their Technology Group. He brings 25 years of experience in founding and growing successful global technology companies. Separate from HG Capital, Paul is a member of the Board of Directors of Houlihan Lokey (NYSE: HLI).

Prior to Thoma Bravo, Paul was the founding CEO of Dilithium Networks, a global leader in mobile video infrastructure solutions. The company was acquired by OnMobile (NSE:ONMOBILE). He also was a co-founder and CEO of Bluegum Group, growing the EMS company to A$500M in revenue before its acquisition by Solectron. Paul also held a variety of senior management positions at the embedded systems software company Ready Systems, including VP of Operations, CFO and VP of Global Support Services before its acquisition by Mentor Graphics. Before joining Ready Systems, Paul founded JGC and as CEO, led the microcomputer-based CAD and CAE solutions provider into market leadership before a private investment group acquired it. He began his career as a management consultant with Bain & Company, where he was a founding member of the team that became the private equity group (Bain Capital).

Paul received the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneer Award on behalf of Dilithium Networks in Davos in 2010. He is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and has been a guest lecturer at the Iovine and Young Academy at USC and the Trium Global Executive MBA program. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University with BA degrees in both International Relations and Economics. Paul also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Clare Copeland is Chief Tax Officer and Head of Tax Transformation based in London. Ms. Copeland leads the global tax operations and strategy for the firm and its funds as well as driving the transformation of our global Tax function. She is also a member of Carlyle’s Operating Committee.

Previously, Ms. Copeland was Head of International Tax at Carlyle, where she had responsibility for strategy, risk management, and policy for firm and fund operations across its international platforms.

Ms. Copeland is a seasoned tax and operations professional with broad exposure across all functions and aspects of multinational asset management and private funds, and experience in delivering complex international multi-disciplinary projects. She also plays a leading role in policy development and advocacy, including roles at trade associations representing the interests of global asset managers. Most notably, Ms. Copeland chairs the Corporate Tax Sub-Committee of the BVCA and also sits on their Global Capital Committee. In addition, she co-chairs the Tax Committee of Invest Europe, is a non-executive member of their Board, and is a member of the Global Private Equity Council.

 Prior to joining BlackRock PEP in 2008, Mr. Farris evaluated investments at ImpreMedia. From 2001 to 2004, he was in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney where he worked on merger & acquisition and capital raising transactions.

Mr. Farris currently serves on the Board of Directors of Woundtech and is an observer to the Board of Directors of Cellares, Emerald Textiles and HealthDrive. He currently serves on the advisory boards of certain funds managed by 1315 Capital, Aldrich Capital Partners, Grant Avenue Capital, and Linden Capital Partners. He also serves on the Board of McCarter Theatre Center.

Mr. Farris earned an MBA, with honors, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA, magna cum laude, in Economics from Princeton University. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Prior to joining the firm, Barry was the CFO of Antares Capital, a middle market private credit manager. Previous to that, Barry served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller of Apollo Global Management and its subsidiaries, and previously as a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns. He began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Barry earned a BBA from Baruch College, with honors, and is a licensed CPA in New York State.

Jordan is a leader in the tax insurance industry and continues to play an instrumental role in its dynamic growth and acceptance among insurance carriers, corporations, and private equity funds.

Prior to joining CAC, Jordan was Vice President, Tax Insurance Counsel for Concord Specialty Risk, a part of Ryan Specialty Group’s RSG Underwriting Managers, where he underwrote a wide range of tax risks for corporations and private equity funds. Before RSG, Jordan was a tax attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he represented multinational corporations and private equity funds on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, spin-offs, and capital market transactions. In addition, Jordan was a tax advisor in the Mergers & Acquisitions tax group at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP, where he performed tax due diligence and structuring on behalf of his private equity and corporate clients.

Jordan graduated with honors from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Psychology. Jordan received his Juris Doctorate and Master of Laws in Taxation from New York Law School, where he graduated cum laude.

William Andreoni

Prior to joining RSM, Bill spent several years in a Big Four firm’s audit practice, specializing in financial services and fund audits. Ken is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Direct Equity Investments. In this role, he is responsible for all investment activity, strategy implementation, and team management. Ken is a member of the Direct Equity Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Hamilton Lane, Ken spent 15 years at Portfolio Advisors LLC and was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Co-Investments. Ken played an integral part in the growth of several of the firm’s verticals and served on the Investment Committees for the co-investment, secondary, and credit funds. Previously, he was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and CIBC World Markets in their Leveraged Finance Groups.

Ken holds an M.B.A. from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jake Siewert

Jake Siewert is based in New York as a Managing Director and the Head of Global Public Policy and Political Risk at Warburg Pincus, where he also oversees the Sustainability Strategy group. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Management Group. Jake joined Warburg Pincus in 2021 from Goldman Sachs where he was a Partner and directed the firm’s global communications, content, and marketing efforts. Before he joined Goldman Sachs in 2012, Jake worked as a Counselor to Secretary of the Treasury, Timothy F. Geithner, during the global financial crisis and its aftermath. Prior to his service in the Obama Administration, he was an Executive at Alcoa where he served on the Management Committee and had oversight of business development, sustainability, environment, health and safety, government affairs, and communications during his eight years there. Prior to that, Jake worked for eight years in the White House during the Clinton Administration in a variety of posts including, an Advisor to the Director of the National Economic Council and as the White House Press Secretary. David Larsen

David advises leading private equity managers and institutional investors and has advised numerous strategic and private equity acquirers in all areas of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and valuation-related matters.

Prior to joining Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps), David was a Partner in KPMG’s Transaction Services practice, where he was the segment leader of KPMG’s U.S. Institutional Investor practice. He served for 13 years in KPMG’s Seattle, Düsseldorf and Prague audit practices before moving full time to advisory work.

David has more than 40 years of experience working with leading private equity managers and institutional investors and has advised numerous strategic and private equity acquirers in all areas of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and valuation-related matters, including digital assets/cryptocurrencies. He provides valuation policy and process assistance to a number of the world’s largest institutional limited partner investors and some of the world’s largest alternative investment managers.

David is a past member of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) Standards Review Board, an advisor to and has served as Vice Chair of the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuations Board (IPEV), which in 2025 will release updated International Private Equity Valuation Guidelines. He serves as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) PE/VC Practice Guide Task Force. Michael Normyle

Michael Normyle is a U.S. Economist and Senior Director at Nasdaq. As part of the Economic Research team, he works with the Chief Economist in helping clients internally and externally understand the market implications of macroeconomic developments and forecasts.

Michael has over 10 years of experience in macroeconomic research. Prior to joining Nasdaq in 2022, he developed expertise in economic cycle forecasting, including business cycles and inflation cycles for the G20 economies, at the Economic Cycle Research Institute (ECRI). His work focused on identifying cyclical and structural economic trends and their implications for monetary policy and for country-specific, regional, and global macroeconomic outlooks.

Between his experience at Nasdaq and ECRI, Michael understands how macroeconomics works in the real economy and how it impacts markets.

Michael has a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Applied Economics, both from Johns Hopkins University.

Prior to joining Apax Partners, Ishan co-founded Beacon Data where he led a team of data engineers and scientists that helped companies solve business problems through advanced analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. His expertise includes strategic consulting and execution in the areas of system architecture, data engineering, predictive modelling, and other advanced approaches to data science.

Ishan holds an MSC in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Columbia University and a BSC in Production Engineering from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka.
